EMCARE Level 4 NZRC Dental Modular Certificate - March 2021

The Dental Modular Certificate Course Level 4 (DMCC4) is a combination of pre-reading, skills development and practical assessment and is the required level of training for:

• Dentists/Dental Specialists - not performing sedation
• Dental Therapists, Dental Hygienists, Orthodontic Auxiliaries, Clinical Dental Technicians
• Dental Technicians undertaking restricted activities

• DRSABCD approach to patient management
• Adult Collapse
• Childhood Collapse
• Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
• Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
• Recovery position
• Management of choking
• Adjuncts for Airway Management - Oro-pharyngeal and Supraglottic airways
• One person and two person CPR
• Bag valve mask use
• Oxygen use in resuscitation
• Management of Anaphylaxis
