The ADA acknowledges the importance of continuing professional development and is committed to helping its members deliver a high standard of dental services to the greater Auckland communities. 

ADA-CE provides you with opportunities to develop your learning,stimulate your thinking, enhance your skills and engage with like-minded peers to share ideas and techniques. We understand that we all have varied dental interests and learning styles. We endeavour to cater to all of our members in terms of their experience, level of knowledge and time commitments. Notification of ADA-CE will be via our monthly newsletter, general meetings, website and emails from ADA's office.

EMCARE Level 4 NZRC Dental Modular Certificate - November 2020

 

 

 

SUNDAY 15 NOVEMBER, 8.30am - 12.30pm @ EMCARE, 235D Bush Road, Rosedale.

The Dental Modular Certificate Course Level 4 (DMCC4) is a combination of pre-reading, skills development and practical assessment and is the required level of training for:

  • Dentists/Dental Specialists - not performing sedation
  • Dental Therapists, Dental Hygienists, Orthodontic Auxiliaries, Clinical Dental Technicians
  • Dental Technicians undertaking restricted activities

Course topics:

  • DRSABCD approach to patient management
  • Adult Collapse
  • Childhood Collapse
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation
  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Recovery position
  • Management of choking
  • Adjuncts for Airway Management - Oro-pharyngeal and Supraglottic airways
  • One person and two person CPR
  • Bag valve mask use
  • Oxygen use in resuscitation
  • Management of Anaphylaxis
