About our speaker:

Matt Ensor is a well-known pioneer in Generative AI in New Zealand. His mission is to accelerate the practical adoption of Generative AI in NZ organisations.  With 35 years of experience spanning the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors, he built a diverse career in governance and commercial management. His expertise has been shaped by roles across sectors, from large infrastructure projects to advanced technology initiatives. 

​In 2024, Matt left FranklyAI and started his own firm with the mission of accelerating the adoption of generative AI in organisations. This initiative builds on his earlier work with FranklyAI®, where he developed real-world, culturally responsive AI solutions for Aotearoa, including te reo Māori and Samoan languages. His focus has always been on applying AI in ways that make sense for businesses and communities, ensuring it’s both aligned with governance requirements and delivers real impact.
