Effective communication is more than just a tool; it’s the foundation of the dentist-patient relationship.  With the right communication skills, you can support your patients in making informed decisions about treatments that improve their oral health.

 

 

In this workshop, designed specifically for NZ dentists, you’ll learn how to:
● Appreciate the long-term value of fostering strong, trusting relationships with your patients.
● How to build trust and rapport with your patients, particularly during your new patient examinations.
● Understand the psychology behind the dentist-patient relationship, recognising and addressing patient concerns that can be barriers to effective communication.
● Improve patient engagement and decision-making by incorporating relatable metaphors into your diagnosis and treatment explanations.
● Present treatment options in a clear and digestible way for patients, including costs.
● Confidently discuss large treatment plans, even when patients aren’t expecting them.
● Avoid awkward rejections and difficult conversations with these effective communication techniques.
