Well-being for Dental Professionals
Join us for an interactive and restorative evening focused on Well-Being for Dental Professionals. Our profession demands constant focus and care for others, often leaving little time to care for ourselves. This session offers a chance to pause, recharge, and experience simple, evidence-based techniques designed to support both body and mind.
Together, we’ll explore Breath - gentle breathing practices that calm the nervous system, reduce stress hormones, and enhance clarity; Sound - vibrational methods that help reset the body and soothe the mind by activating the vagus nerve; Movement - easy, mindful movements to release tension, boost circulation, and restore energy; and Meditation - practical techniques to quiet the mind, reduce stress responses, and promote focus and inner calm.
We’ll also explore how to balance and integrate our frame of mind - learning ways to blend action with reflection, strength with sensitivity, and doing with being - to support a more harmonious approach to both work and life.
In moments of stress, these daily practices can carry us through. This will be an enjoyable, hands-on session, leaving participants with simple, lasting tools to bring balance and resilience into everyday life and practice.
About our Facilitator:
Dr Ginal Bilimoria | ADA Branch Well-being Champion
Ginal has been in private practice now for over 25 years, contracting to corporate and also working from her own practice in Albany. This journey has made her more empathetic to the unique challenges dentists can face in both work environments. She is passionate about well-being having had to work through her own struggles of balancing work and motherhood with the health needs of her children when they were young. Her interest in developing online dental education to help dentists thrive, led her to undertake further training to certify as a Robbins Madanes ‘Strategic Intervention Life Coach’ and a ‘Working with Women Coach’. She also volunteers weekly with 'Shout', a UK based, confidential, 24/7 text messaging service for anyone who is struggling to cope. In her spare time, Ginal enjoys travelling, hiking, yoga and putting into practice her learnings from self-help books.
As one of the ADA's Well-Being Champions, as part of the NZDA's Well Aware Together Programme, Ginal has undertaken training through Revolutionaries of Wellbeing and St John, to ensure that she is appropriately equipped to help ADA members in need of health and wellbeing support.
